A note from our kitchen table

We started this because our own home was full of these things. A blue pottery bowl that has sat in the middle of the table for twenty years. A marble tea light that gets lit when people come round. Block printed cotton we have slept in every summer. Nobody in London could tell us who made them, or what the towns were like.

So we went and found out. Every piece here names the craft, the town and the workshop it came from, and the corner of the house it is meant for.

Where it all comes from

The oldest mountains on earth

The Aravallis were folded up out of the crust before anything lived on land to watch it happen, and they have been wearing down ever since. What is left runs seven hundred kilometres from the edge of Delhi to the plains of Gujarat.

Every town we buy from sits on that range or in its shadow. Jaipur, Sanganer, Bagru, Jodhpur, Nathdwara, Molela, Udaipur. We know the roads between them well.

Once a month. Leave whenever you like.
